Pain Quotidien
Pain Quotidien, meaning “Daily Bread” in French, is the short film made in my collaborative animation class in the Spring of 2024. As a team of 10 students we were tasked to create a 1 minute short film in 8 weeks. We decided to base our story in Lacoste, France as we were doing a study abroad program there at the time. In the short we follow a boy as he chases a dog that has stolen his bread.
For this project I was the Technical Director and oversaw most of the tech team’s process throughout the project. I helped my teammates by showing them how to effectively use modeling tools and make sure to use correct topology when creating models. I also modeled, UV’d, and textured several prop models, rigged the dog, and did the lighting.
